During the next ePrix of the Formula E World Championship, which will take place in Buenos Aires on January 10th, Andretti Autosport renews its trust in Jean-Éric Vergne. The latter suffered an unfortunate retirement during his first race in this category, held in Punta del Este, Uruguay, where he experienced a mechanical failure. This time, he will have the opportunity to take his revenge in the upcoming race scheduled for next Saturday.

The Francilien will have Marco Andretti as a teammate, the latter replacing Franck Montagny who tested positive for a cocaine derivative. Andretti Autosport is using a fourth different pair of drivers since during the first ePrix of the season, Franck Montagny had been paired with Charles Pic. In the second ePrix in Malaysia, the duo was composed of Franck Montagny and Matthew Brabham, while in the last round, the American team had paired Jean-Éric Vergne and Matthew Brabham.

Marco Andretti expressed his delight at the opportunity offered to him on the official Formula E website: « Having never been in the car, it will be an unusual situation for me, but the team’s pace seems solid enough for a good result. I enjoy unknown situations; I am ready for this challenge. »

It should also be noted that for the Buenos Aires ePrix, Ho-Pin Tung will return to China Racing, after missing the last round in Punta del Este because he was competing in the 12H of Abu Dhabi in Endurance.
