Berlin ePrix: Di Grassi disqualified, D’Ambrosio winner
What a disappointment for Lucas Di Grassi! First in the Berlin ePrix yesterday, the Abt driver was disqualified for a non-compliant car. It's Jérôme d'Ambrosio who therefore collects the 25 points for the victory.

And if that was the explanation for his overwhelming dominance yesterday during the Berlin ePrix? Lucas Di Grassi’s car, examined by officials after the race, was declared non-compliant. His Formula E had been modified in several areas (six of the eight holes in the front wing had been sealed, wheel fastenings), while the regulations prohibit any changes to the base chassis.
According to Team Abt, these were simply initiatives taken to repair Di Grassi’s car. However, the team did not file an appeal.
The top positions in the standings have thus been shaken up: Jérôme d’Ambrosio was declared the winner off the track, Buemi finished 2nd, while the Frenchman Loïc Duval takes third place.
In the championship standings, the consequences could be decisive: with three races remaining in the championship, Nelson Piquet, with 103 points, takes back the top spot overall. Buemi is second with 101 points, while Di Grassi remains stuck at 93 points.
