Felipe Drugovich leading during the Formula E rookie tests

The reserve driver for Aston Martin F1 has set the fastest time of the testing day in 1min05.509s, ahead of Alpine's protege, Victor Martins.

In variable weather conditions, sunny then followed by a brief shower, Aston Martin Formula 1 reserve driver Felipe Drugovich set the fastest time of this Formula E rookie test day at Berlin Tempelhof.

Behind the wheel of a Maserati MSG, the Brazilian driver set a time of 1min05.509s, just 0.101s ahead of Victor Martins and his time of 1min05.610s. In the final standings, Red Bull Racing reserve driver Zane Maloney finished third in this session, only 0.009s behind second place.

Several former Formula 1 drivers present.

Member of the Ferrari Driver Academy, Russian-Israeli driver Robert Shwartzman finished seventh on the time sheet with a time of 1min05.923s, behind the wheel of his DS Penske. This day was also an opportunity to see former Formula 1 drivers in action. Former AlphaTauri driver Daniil Kvyat finished in tenth position, over half a second behind Drugovich’s best time of 1min06.012s.

Among the former occupants of the top category of motor racing, we find the drivers of the Manor Marussia F1 Team, Will Stevens and Roberto Mehri, respectively fourteenth and eighteenth. They are ahead of another former Formula 1 occupant, Jack Aitken. The British driver ranks twenty-first in this Formula E rookie test day, more than a second behind Drugovich’s time (1min06.525s).
