Three months before the start of the 11th season of Formula E, the calendar is beginning to take shape. After unveiling a provisional calendar before the summer, the championship, which celebrated its tenth anniversary this year, announced the arrival of a destination well known to fans of motorsport, especially Formula 1.

Until season 10, it was the city of Diriyah that hosted the Formula E races in Saudi Arabia. Present on the calendar since season 5, which marks the beginning of the Gen2 era, the city located in the suburb of Riyadh had the honor of opening the season for four years. Held at night, the Diriyah ePrix took place on an urban circuit made up of winding and fast sections, making overtaking maneuvers difficult.

After six years on the calendar, Diriyah will therefore give way to Jeddah starting from the next FE season. The circuit, present on the F1 calendar since 2021, will see the Formula E single-seaters touring its tarmac on a shorter circuit than its 27-turn version.

Even though the layout of the Jeddah ePrix track, which will take place over two races on February 14 and 15, will be shorter than for the F1, there is no doubt that the show will be at the forefront on the shores of the Red Sea.

Before Jeddah, which will host the third and fourth races of season 11, the Formula E will stop in Sao Paulo on December 7 for the inaugural round, then in Mexico on January 11.

Finally, Dejddah will be the fourth circuit on the calendar to host both Formula 1 and Formula E in 2025, along with Mexico, Monaco, and Shanghai.
