Nissan has unveiled its Gen3 Evo single-seater from Viry-Châtillon, the new headquarters of the Japanese brand in Formula E. Born Renault e.dams, the Franco-Japanese team moved to the Paris region after leaving its facilities in Le Mans.

New facilities, new technologies, and a new teammate for Oliver Rowland. The English driver, impressive last season for his return to Nissan with two wins and a fourth-place finish in the championship, will have Norman Nato as his garage neighbor. The Frenchman is returning to the Japanese team after a tough year at Andretti. He is taking the place of his compatriot Sacha Fenestraz.

Therefore, it is next to the Alpine F1 engine factory that the Formula E Nissan Gen3 Evo version was revealed. The new headquarters covers 2,600 square meters and includes a workshop, a simulator, offices for engineering and management, as well as exhibition and meeting spaces. It will be fully operational before the first race of the season on December 7th in Sao Paulo.

Team principal of the team, Tommaso Volpe is excited about his new working tool and is looking forward to the new season starting.

(e) We are looking forward to starting the new season and we have worked hard to familiarize ourselves with the GEN3 Evo car. Our new factory is now fully operational, and it makes a huge difference. We have been able to take full advantage of these facilities, allowing us to maximize the team’s potential. As for the drivers, Norman quickly integrated himself. With Oliver, we are confident that we have a strong team ready to fight for victories and podiums throughout the upcoming season.

The drivers are also looking forward to getting back on the track during the private tests which will take place from 4 to 7 November in Valencia, Spain.

It was useful to recharge my batteries after a busy year, and I prepared for season 11 by making sure I was in good physical and mental shape. It’s great that the new factory is fully operational, I was really impressed by the facilities. The location is ideal and it sets the bar very high, showing our ambition to continue improving and fighting at the front » declared Oliver Rowland.

On his part, Norman Nato is delighted to be reuniting with the team with whom he stepped onto the podium at the Rome ePrix in 2023.

« I am happy to be back in the team and I already feel comfortable with the car, the simulator, and all the team members. The biggest change has been the superb new factory, which allows us to prepare and debrief races in incredible conditions, with the best equipment at our disposal. The new livery is really cool, it maintains our Japanese identity and the fans love it, making us so recognizable on track.
