Porsche will show up with new colors for the Formula E season 11
The German team has presented a new livery for Season 11 of Formula E by abandoning its traditional white, black, and red colors for purple and green.

With two titles in two years for the Porsche engine since the arrival of the Gen3, it’s an understatement to say that the German manufacturer has perfectly started the era of the new generation single-seaters. Whether it’s Jake Dennis with the Andretti customer team in season 9 or Pascal Wehrlein with the German manufacturer’s team in season 10, it’s always a driver powered by Porsche who has been crowned champion for the past two seasons.
With the Gen3 Evo which will allow drivers to have four-wheel drive during certain phases of the race, such as at the start or when activating Attack Mode, Porsche aims to stay at the forefront and compete for the team title that has been held by Jaguar-powered teams for the past two years. To do this, the Stuttgart brand will be able to rely on its German reigning champion and on the Portuguese driver Antonio Felix da Costa, who will team up for the third consecutive year.
On the look side, the Porsche 99X Electric loses its historical white, black, and red colors for purple and green. According to Porsche, this change symbolizes the transfer of technology between competition and production cars. It represents electrification and Porsche’s pioneering spirit by visually expressing the company’s strength of innovation.
For Thomas Laudenbach, Vice President of Porsche Motorsport, the Formula E remains the best platform to promote electric vehicles.
We manufacture the sports cars of the future so we want our appearance to be progressive. The young and innovative Formula E is an excellent platform to promote our electric sports cars. The preparation for the new season makes me confident not only because we seem strong, but also because we can build on the success of last season. The bar is now set high, with Pascal as world champion, we are at the peak of Porsche’s history in Formula E.
With three victories last season and a great consistency, Pascal Wehrlein became the first German driver to win the FE championship. With the number 1 on his car, the former DTM and F1 driver aims to defend his title.
« The new Porsche 99X Electric is a very cool car. I love the colors so much that I have designed my helmet in the same way. Needless to say, I am proud to have the number 1 on the front of my car. I want to defend my title and the preparation for the new season is going smoothly as planned.
Author of a season ending in a blaze of glory with four wins in the last seven races, his teammate Antonio Felix da Costa will want to continue on this trajectory and start his season better in order to be able to fight for the title.
We are excited to see where we stand. The four-wheel drive, new tires, understanding of the whole make it an interesting challenge even if there are no major changes in the regulations. I am optimistic and happy about lining up on the track in São Paulo in December. I hope our fans will appreciate our new colors.
Before this first race which will take place on December 7, the Formula E paddock will meet from November 4 to 7 for pre-season testing.
