Pre-season tests Season 11 – Day 4: Mitch Evans sets the fastest time of the week
The Jaguar driver ends this week of testing at the top of the rankings on this day when part of it was reserved for female drivers. See you now on December 7 for the season opener in São Paulo.

After six test sessions spread over four days, the teams leave Madrid with a lot of data to analyze before the start of the 11th season of Formula E. It was therefore the last chance for the 11 teams and the 22 drivers on the grid to perfect their settings before the first race next month. The entire FE paddock worked hard all week to ensure that the data collected on the track matched the data collected earlier on the simulator.
For this last timed half-day, it was Mitch Evans who set the fastest time with his Jaguar in camouflage livery. The New Zealand driver even set the best time of the week with a time of 1m27.4. The runner-up of season 10 outperforms two drivers powered by Porsche, with Dan Ticktum in his Kiro and the title holder Pascal Wehrlein.
The new American team Kiro Race Co can be considered the surprise of these trials since apart from Ticktum, who often found himself among the best times, his garage neighbor David Beckmann also stood out with the best time on Thursday morning and the fifth one this Friday. Also, a good performance from Taylor Barnard with the fourth time on his McLaren.
On the French side, Norman Nato closes the top 10 with his Nissan while Jean-Eric Vergne finished 19th. His teammate at DS Penske, Maximilian Günther, finished the week in 12th place. The only French manufacturer involved in the Formula E championship in partnership with Penske Autosport, DS Automobiles left the Jarama circuit with promising prospects for the upcoming season, thanks to significant testing without any major issues.
The afternoon of this last day was dedicated to the women drivers’ session. At the top of the timesheet, we find the current leader of the F1 Academy, Abbi Pulling. Behind the wheel of a Nissan, she outpaced Jamie Chadwick, the multiple champion of the W Series, and her Jaguar, and Bianca Bustamante in a McLaren.
Unfortunately for Lilou Wadoux, the only Frenchwoman selected to participate in this test session, things didn’t go as planned. The Amiens native experienced an issue with the installation in her single-seater, and her seat was too uncomfortable to drive. However, Jaguar indicated that they would offer her another opportunity to test their Gen3 Evo.
The Formula E is now heading to Brazil and Sao Paulo for the season 11 opener.
