Théo Pourchaire and Daniil Kvyat will participate in the next Formula E Rookie Test
On the sidelines of the upcoming ePrix to be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, each team will make one of its cars available to a rookie during a forty-minute test session.

After Berlin last season, the Formula E Rookie Test returns this year on a new track. For its first visit to the Jeddah circuit, the electric single-seater championship will organize a session dedicated to FE newcomers on February 13, the day before the first race of the Saudi weekend.
On this occasion, French driver Théo Pourchaire will take the wheel of a Formula E car for the first time in his career. The 2023 F2 champion will add another string to his bow after having tried his hand at Super Formula, Indycar, and WEC last year.
After his test with the Peugeot 9X8 at the end of 2024, Pourchaire has since become a reserve driver for the French team. And it is with another brand from the Stellantis group that he will race in Jeddah, as it will be aboard a Maserati with which Stoffel Vandoorne and Jake Hughes are currently competing in the championship.
In the sister team DS Penske, it is also a multi-talented driver who will take the wheel of the DS E-TENSE FE25. After participating in the Rookie Test in Berlin last year with Nissan, Daniil Kvyat will this time test a Gen3 EVO of the Franco-American team.
The Russian, former F1 driver for Toro Rosso, Red Bull, and AlphaTauri, will only compete in the IMSA championship this season with Lamborghini. The Italian manufacturer has decided to skip the WEC in 2025 after just one season of participating with the SC63.
Finally, note that the WEC, and particularly the Peugeot drivers, will be in the spotlight during the next Rookie Test, as Mikkel Jensen, who will share the wheel of the number 93 with Jean-Eric Vergne and Paul di Resta this season, will drive a Cupra Kiro in Jeddah.
