Manor commits to LMP2 and will be at Le Mans
Forced to leave Manor in F1, John Booth and Graeme Lowdon are not giving up on motorsport competition. Thus, they are launching with the Manor brand in LMP2.

At the end of last season, John Booth and Graeme Lowdon announced that they were leaving the F1 team they had founded following a strategic disagreement with the new shareholder, Stephen Fitzpatrick.
When we met them in the Abu Dhabi paddock for their last Grand Prix at the helm of Manor F1, they let us know that they would be back one way or another.
Already the possibility of being present in the WEC was mentioned. It was reinforced a few days after the end of the season when a Twitter account @realmanor had been created. It has now been confirmed, with the announcement of entering a car in the LMP2 category of the WEC, which consequently includes participation in the upcoming 24 Hours of Le Mans.
John Booth, who retains his position as team director, praised the qualities of this category: « The LMP2 category is specifically set up for independent teams and/or engine manufacturers, which highlights the team’s performance. » Any comparison with F1 is obviously purely coincidental…
The team also took the opportunity to announce its first driver, Thai Tor Graves, who had raced with Manor in Formula 3 at the end of the 1990s. The 2012 LMP2 vice-world champion has thus signed for the next two seasons with Manor.
