After a tumultuous start to this 90th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the following two hours were calmer. In the lead, the Toyotas set the pace, with car 7 passing car 8. Behind them, the two Glickenhaus cars remain close to the two Japanese hypercars. The struggling Alpine at the beginning of the race seems to be doing better as it gains ground on cars 708 and 709. At 1:47 into the race, Glickenhaus car 709 was brought into the pit by its team, only to come back out shortly after.

In LMP2, the number 22 car from United Autosport is trying to catch up after the incident at the beginning of the race. It has already passed the GTE AM cars and is now in the midst of the GTE PROs. Further back, the Algarve Pro Racing 47 is also making its way up the ranks. Two laps behind the second-to-last car after the starting incident, it is now in the same lap and should soon overtake it. Sophia Flörsch has been driving for nearly two hours. The Ultimate number 24 went off track at the Dunlop bridge, causing a slow zone.

In GTE PRO, the Corvettes continue to perform well and remain ahead of the two Porsches, followed by the AF Corse Ferraris. Car 51 has been penalized with a drive-through for exceeding track limits too many times.

Finally, in the amateur category, there is more action with a battle for first place between the Weathertech Racing’s Porsche 79 and the Hardpoint Motorsport’s 99. Further back, the Ferrari of Iron Lynx team, number 60, is struggling. In fact, Claudio Schiavoni, who has been behind the wheel for over 1 hour and 40 minutes, has made some mistakes, including spinning out at the exit of Arnage.
