Porsche unveils its drivers for the 2023 WEC and IMSA championships
Ten drivers will be at the wheel of the Porsche 963s, which will be entered in IMSA and WEC. The German manufacturer is aiming for victories in the 2023 season.

It is under the name Porsche Penske Motorsport that the German team will hit the track in 2023. For its return to endurance racing, Porsche will compete in the WEC and IMSA championships. The objective is to fight for overall victories in the two biggest endurance series, the manufacturer specifies.
Four cars will be built and entered. Car number 5 will be shared by Dane Cameron, Michael Christensen, and Frédéric Makowiecki. Car number 6 will be driven by André Lotterer, Kévin Estre, and Laurens Vanthoor. Finally, for IMSA, car number 6 will be driven by Nick Tandy and Mathieu Jaminet, while Felipe Nasr and Matt Campbell will share car number 7.
Two client teams
Gianmaria Bruni, Romain Dumas, Richard Lietz, and Thomas Preining are also part of the 2023 factory driver lineup.
In its first season, the new Porsche 963 will also be available for customers to compete in both endurance series. The confirmed teams are JDC Miller MotorSports (IMSA) as well as Jota Sport and Proton Competition (both WEC).
