Following its announcement on December 2, 2022 [launch of a project aiming to bring back the Pescarolo name to the top of the World Endurance], Pescarolo Sport continues the development of its sports program, indicates the press release from Pescarolo Sport.
A long-standing partnership
An announcement confirmed by Peugeot as well. Pescarolo Sport contacted us a few months ago. After several exchanges, Pescarolo Sport has decided to develop a project for participation in the WEC championship with a Peugeot 9X8. It is a pride that Pescarolo Sport has chosen our Hypercar. The project is progressing rapidly with prestigious partners and experienced individuals, and we are ready to provide them with a 9X8 along with the necessary technical support. We hope that Pescarolo Sport’s project will come to fruition by 2024.
This is not the first time that the two entities have worked hand in hand. Initially, Peugeot provided engines to Pescarolo, who then raced with Courage chassis. After an initial partnership between 2000 and 2003, both parties stepped up their collaboration. In 2009, Pescarolo Sport entered a 908 before finishing in 8th place and completing the Le Mans circuit 368 times.
