Express weight loss for Nathanael Berthon before Le Mans
The driver from Clermont was called last minute by Glickenhaus to participate in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. During his preparation, Nathanaël Berthon lost between seven and eight kilograms.

He’s making his return to Le Mans. Three years after his last experience in Sarthe, Nathanaël Berthon is back at the 24 Hours. The driver from Clermont was contacted by Glickenhaus at the last minute. It wasn’t until early May that the driver was officially confirmed for the event. The Auvergnat was able to rely on significant support to return to the greatest endurance race.

The sensations are good
A race against the clock then began to be ready for this crazy week. The driver had to intensify his training sessions and redouble his efforts in terms of nutrition. « I started to lose weight because in touring cars, it’s less important. I lost 7-8 kilos in a month and a half. The main goal was to regain sensations, because touring cars are completely different. »
During the test day, which took place on Sunday, June 4th, the Frenchman’s car 709 finished quite far from the Ferrari number 50. Nearly six seconds separated them. Despite this gap, the feelings are good, assures Nathanaël Berthon.
Hypercars heavier than LMP1
For his eighth participation in Le Mans, the Clermont-Ferrand native discovers a new category, the Hypercar. Up until now, he had raced in LMP2 and LMP1. Hypercars are heavier than the other prototypes. One must handle this weight in the corners and during braking, which is a change. They are powerful, but not as much as the Rebellion, which was a missile. Now, we are 15 seconds slower, there is a difference. However, these are exceptional cars.
The real serious stuff will begin on Wednesday, June 7th, with the first free practice session scheduled for 2 p.m.
