Alpine wants a podium at Fuji
A few weeks after testing its hypercar, Alpine is refocusing on the LMP2 category for the 6 Hours of Fuji. A race where Alpine believes it can perform well, following its podium finish in Monza.

After completing the European and American rounds, the World Endurance Championship sets its sights on Asia. This weekend, the WEC is heading to Fuji for the penultimate event of the season.
A track that Alpine has often succeeded on. In Japan, the French brand won the Fuji 500 km race in 1978 and achieved several podium finishes between 2015 and last year. For this new season and their return to LMP2, the team hopes to ride on the same momentum.
« We are back in LMP2 mode after the successful first tests of our future Hypercar, and the whole team is eager to confirm our progress, both with the crew of #35 and #36 », announces Philippe Sinault, the boss of Alpine endurance.
« The troops are ready »
However, the challenge will be far from simple, especially with some of our drivers getting ready to take their first laps on the Fuji Speedway and the weather factor, which is often crucial in Japan. Nevertheless, our team is ready to go conquer a new podium.
Before this new race, Alpine holds the fifth place in the LMP2 standings with car number 36 and the last place with car number 35.
