Felipe Derani to leave Cadillac at the end of the season
The driver of Action Express Racing's #311 Cadillac has decided to leave the American ship at the end of the season. He did not specify his future destination.

The announcement comes a few days after the 24 Hours of Le Mans. A race in which the Brazilian participated. And where he finished in 29th place, after a big accident with the Cadillac #311. An off-track incident for which he is responsible.
On his social networks, Felipe Derani indicated that he was going to leave the Action Express Racing team, which fields the Hypercar powered by a V8. This announcement has little impact on the World Endurance Championship, as Le Mans is the only round in which he was involved.
On the other side of the Atlantic, however, in IMSA, this has more impact since it runs all year. « We have spent beautiful years together, with two championships in IMSA, two endurance championships, and many victories and podiums, declared the driver. « We have reached a mutual agreement not to continue together after this year. » His team has not announced a replacement at this time.
Since he has been engaged in endurance racing, Pipo Derani has built up an impressive list of achievements. A four-time winner of the 12 Hours of Sebring (2016, 2018, 2019, and 2023), he also won in his debut at the IMSA in 2016, at the 24 Hours of Daytona.
