6 Hours of Sao Paulo – Free practice 3: A Porsche trio led by the #12 from Jota team
Porsche dominated the third free practice session. The number 12 car from team Jota led the way. Alpine had a solid session with the fourth fastest time.

This time, it was on dry conditions. Unlike the first Friday practice session, the third free practice session this time took place without any bad weather. A few drops were still to be noted here and there but nothing too serious.
Note that a car was missing at the pit lane exit, at the time of the green flag. Akkodis removed one of its Lexus, the #78, after its impressive accident the day before.
VAMOS! Your 36-car grid is hitting the track for FP3. 😍

Porsche led a large part of the session, with some domination. Three 963s were in the top three positions at mid-session. The #12 from team Jota was ahead of the two official Hypercars. Alpine, with the #35, was in a very nice fourth position, just three tenths off the best reference.
The drivers were much faster than the previous evening – the morning session not being representative due to the red flag. With a time of 1:25’727”, Toyota led the way this Friday. Norman Nato was a second and a half faster after half an hour (1:24’297”).
The same observation can be made for the GT3 category, but with much smaller time gaps. Between the best performance of the Lexus #87 yesterday and that of the Manthey Racing Porsche #92, the German car was four tenths faster.
In Hypercar, the field is quite tight with eleven cars within a second. If the situation remains the same for the qualifying session a little later in the evening, it could promise some excitement. And frustration for one or several competitors.
Despite the very discreet presence of raindrops, the drivers did not change the hierarchy. The Porsche from Team Jota therefore maintained the lead in this third free practice session.
