AF Corse shines with its yellow private Ferrari, in Austin
The World Endurance Championship was back after a month and a half break. AF Corse and its Ferrari did not miss the appointment. This resulted in a new winner in this competition.

What a day for Ferrari. After Charles Leclerc’s victory in Monza, the Scuderia doubled up in Austin. The Italian team once again triumphed in the World Endurance Championship. But this time, neither car #50 nor car #51 crossed the finish line first. It was the #83 from the AF Corse private team that won the 6 Hours of Austin race.
Antonio Giovinazzi, aboard the car that secured pole position, was forced to retire after a collision with a Peugeot. Behind the leading Hypercar, Toyota #7 was coming back with an interesting pace. However, the trio Ye – Kubica – Shwartzman resisted until the final lap of the race. Only 1.7 seconds separated the two cars.
The American race brought some surprises. Including the Cadillac’s fourth position. This is the best result for this car this season. It rewards a season marked by many troubles and bad luck.
The two Alpines in the points
Alpine also shone in Austin. The two tricolor cars finished in the points zone. The #35 in fifth place, the other in ninth position. The car of the trio Milesi – Habsburg – Chatin made a leap in the constructors’ standings, from 12 to 21 points. The #6 Porsche which is leading the standings, finished in an anonymous sixth position.
In LMGT3, the Iron Dames, who once again impressed in qualifying, finished a distant 13th in a race won by the Aston Martin of Heart of Racing. The Manthey Purerxcing Porsche #92 extended its lead over the sister car with a second-place finish, with the #91 car finishing third.
