Porsche changes its line-up for the 2025 WEC season
Julien Andlauer becomes a full-time driver in the factory team, André Lotterer is sidelined. Kévin Estre and Laurens Vanthoor will now be the only two behind the wheel of their 963.

Movement. Porsche has confirmed its teams for the next season of the World Endurance Championship. As required by the regulations, the German manufacturer will have two 963 Hypercars. Previously driven by three men, they will now only have two per car.
Kévin Estre and Laurens Vanthoor will be the two starters in the #6. Matt Campbell will come to help them during the 24 Hours of Le Mans and during some races. In the sister car, Julian Andlauer and Michael Christensen, new arrivals in the factory team, will take turns. If needed, they may be assisted by Matthieu Jaminet.
Three drivers dismissed
« In 2025, we will participate in the competition with a new line-up. Our team continues to be at the forefront of endurance racing on an international level. Additionally, we remain true to our highly successful initiative of helping another former Porsche Junior climb the ranks in their career. Over the past seasons, Julien Andlauer has impressed us behind the wheel of all the Porsches from Weissach. He deserves this promotion within the factory driver team », emphasizes Thomas Laudenbach, Vice President of Porsche Motorsport.
These changes have several consequences: André Lotterer, Dane Cameron, and Frédéric Makowiecki will no longer be employed by the Stuttgart brand. All three have played a significant role in our ability to celebrate major successes with the Porsche 963 on both sides of the Atlantic, as early as the second year of competition.
In its reorganization, Porsche also indicated that Kévin Estre and Laurens Vanthoor could step in for Matt Campbell, Mathieu Jaminet, Felipe Nasr, and Nick Tandy if needed in IMSA.
