Maxime Martin joins Mercedes-Benz in WEC
The Belgian driver has become an official Mercedes driver. This follows his recent departure from BMW and the WRT team.

The end of an adventure. But it will always be written in GT3. Shortly after announcing his departure from BMW, even though he had a contract with the Munich brand, the future of Maxime Martin in endurance racing has already been revealed.
The Belgian is now an official Mercedes-Benz driver. He will be behind the wheel of the German brand’s GT3 for the next WEC season. As a reminder, the machine is operated by Iron Lynx, which has ended its collaboration with Lamborghini.

He will also take part in the upcoming 24 Hours of Daytona, the first round of the IMSA, the North American endurance championship.
Moreover, Mercedes has also extended Jules Gounon’s contract. He is under contract with Alpine to race in Hypercar in the WEC and will participate in other championships with the star brand thanks to a partnership between the two entities.
