Complete. This Monday, December 23, Racing Spirit of Léman announced its third driver for the next season of the World Endurance Championship. After confirming Valentin Hasse-Clot and Derek DeBoer, who were already with the team in 2024, they have signed a newcomer.

This is about Eduardo Barrichello. His name may not be unknown to motorsport enthusiasts. His father is none other than Rubens, the former Formula 1 driver and teammate of Michael Schumacher at Ferrari.

« I must thank everyone who has helped me in any way up to today, and especially my family for their unconditional support. I don’t think I’ll realize it until I sit in the car… », he reacted on Instagram.

« An ideal balance »

At 23 years old, the son of Rubens Barrichello has just finished his Stock Car Pro Series championship in Brazil, where he ranked third in the championship driving a Toyota Corolla.

« His talent, combined with the experience of Derek and Valentin, creates an ideal balance for aiming for high-level performances. With the support of Aston Martin, we are ready to take on the challenges of this new season », announces Patrick Barbier, the head of the team from La Roche-sur-Foron.

As a reminder, the Barbier family’s structure will enter an Aston Martin GT3 in the next season of the World Endurance Championship. The team will also remain in the ELMS with its trio Clément Mateu – Erwan Bastard and Valentin Hasse-Clot.
