Alpine must reach the points zone at the 6 Hours of Imola
While expectations were high for the A424s in Qatar, they ultimately finished outside the points. At Imola, the Alpine drivers will have the opportunity to make up for this disappointment.

It had been a big surprise. While Alpine was fighting for the top spots at the start of the race in Qatar, their pace collapsed over the course of the laps. And both Hypercars didn’t even reach the points zone. One of the few positive aspects of this race remains the reliability of the car, which lasted for many hours.
Two months later, the Blues have a date at Imola, a circuit that had made life very difficult for the tricolor forces. This track did not particularly favor us last year. This week is therefore an important appointment as we return better prepared, better equipped, and with the desire to confirm and materialize the progress we have made over the past year. The tests conducted recently on this track have provided us with many answers, particularly regarding one of Imola’s specific features, namely considering some curbs as an integral part of the trajectory. We approach this weekend, of course, with the desire to achieve our level of performance, recalls Philippe Sinault, the team principal.
These tests also allowed Ferdinand Habsburg to do his first laps at Imola driving the Hypercar after having to skip the event last year. As a reminder, the Austrian was injured after fracturing vertebrae in an accident during a private testing session.
Jules Gounon will return to the grounds of his first prototype race a year ago. He took advantage of Ferdinand Habsburg’s absence to do his first laps in an Hypercar.
