Peugeot must step up its game at the 6 Hours of Imola
Two months after a decent race in Qatar, the Lion Brand must continue to improve its performance. The Imola track will be the perfect place to do so.

A pleasant surprise in Qatar. The Peugeot delivered a solid performance by finishing in the points zone. It was also the only French car to achieve this. The #93 showed a very interesting pace to bring its team the first points of the season.
Two months later, Peugeot will need to confirm this performance. The right settings will have to be found, as Imola is a completely different track compared to Losail. « Our work now is to integrate into the leading group. Strategically and operationally, the team has been managing its races very well since the end of the 2024 season. If we continue like this, we can fight for great positions », announces Jean-Marc Finot, Senior VP of Stellantis Motorsport.
To maximize its chances and get accustomed to European tracks, the French brand conducted three test sessions. The first at Imola. A second in Barcelona which could not be conclusive due to bad weather. And a final, more recent one, at Spa.
« Imola is a narrow, hilly circuit. We race in a rather atypical environment, in the middle of houses. It’s a highly technical circuit, with fast sequences, straights, blind corners… I really like this track in terms of feeling and sensations behind the wheel. Overtaking at Imola is never easy; you have to know how to be patient to create opportunities », thinks Loïc Duval, from car #94.
It will be difficult to predict what Peugeot will be able to do at Imola this weekend. The new generation 9X8 had raced for the first time here. The weather conditions were terrible. However, it will be a good way to compare performances and analyze progress.
