What if the Iron Dames pulled off another major coup at the 6 Heures de Spa?

After scoring their first points of the season in Imola, the Iron Dames will be looking to build on this momentum. And what if they drew inspiration from Sarah Bovy's achievement a year ago?

The Iron Dames have finally launched their season. In Imola, the female trio finally scored their first points of the season. Taking advantage of various incidents, the ladies in pink were able to benefit from a successful strategy to climb up the hierarchy. The victory of the Manthey car also proves that the Porsche has potential.

A few weeks after this good news, it will be necessary to tackle the fast and winding circuit of Spa-Francorchamps. With aspects quite different from Imola, this meeting will need to be approached with a completely different strategy.

« We scored our first points in the World Championship at Imola, which is a notable improvement compared to the first race of the season. The fact that our sister car won gives us even more momentum. We are still in the phase where everything needs to align, but we now have a much better idea of our individual strengths. Imola suited the Porsche perfectly. Even though Spa-Francorchamps is very different, we are still aiming for a good result », announces Célia Martin.

One year after Sarah Bovy’s achievement on this same circuit, Deborah Mayer’s protégées might well take inspiration from this performance. The Belgian had then secured pole position, on her home turf, with the Lamborghini. Quite the result when considering that the Italian car was one of the weakest in the field.

With the good dynamic between the ELMS and the WEC, the Iron Dames could capitalize on the confidence gained to achieve a good result before heading to Le Mans.
