A change of line-up for Iron Lynx at the 24 Heures du Mans
Claudio Schiavoni will not be fit for the 24 Hours of Le Mans due to injury. The #60 Mercedes will be crewed by Andrew Gilbert, Fran Rueda and Lorcan Hanafin.

A rather late announcement. As the test day for the 24 Hours of Le Mans is scheduled for this Sunday, June 8th, Iron Lynx has announced via a press release that its trio for the race will be changed.
Following a physical issue that arose before the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, Claudio Schiavoni will not be available for the event and for the following race, the 6 Hours of Interlagos in Brazil. To ensure the team’s stability and give him time to recover, the driver has decided to withdraw from the race.
The Italian team then set out to find a replacement. They decided to hire Andrew Gilbert. He will team up with Fran Rueda and Lorcan Hanafin, both newcomers. Thus, it will be an entirely new lineup taking part in Le Mans. Born in Great Britain, Gilbert comes from a background of entrepreneurs in the technology field and began racing in 2022, with a positive track record so far, reveals Iron Lynx.
« I have always dreamed of participating in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and I can’t believe it’s going to happen this year. Everything happened very quickly. I am very happy to join the Iron Lynx team for this great race and to finish the FIA WEC season with them. It is also special to be able to do this with Fran, who has been with me since the beginning of my racing journey,” Andrew Gilbert rejoices.
Originally from Spain, Fran Rueda has extensive experience in GT racing and is a proven race winner with an impressive CV. Lorcan Hanafin, who is also from the UK, already races for Iron Lynx in ELMS and will move to the WEC after delivering excellent performances, including a podium in the last round at the Paul Ricard circuit.
