24 Hours of Le Mans – Race H+4: Ferrari in the lead, major accident for a Mustang
Ferrari, thanks to Antonio Fuoco, took control of the race. Ford Mustang #88 hit the Tertre Rouge, causing the first neutralization.

Ferrari has been on a tear. While Porsche dominated the first two hours of the race, Antonio Fuoco got into the #50, which significantly changed things. The Italian was battling with the #6 Porsche and easily overtook it. He did the same with the #5, which was then in the lead.
The Aston Martin of Racing Spirit of Léman had a technical problem and stayed in its pit for a long time. It rejoined last. Shortly after, the Mustang #88 crashed at Tertre Rouge. The GT3 lost a wheel, which caused a slow zone.
So well positioned, the Algarve Pro Racing #25 lost parts of its front wing. The front right tire was smoking heavily in the Hunaudières due to friction. This happened after contact with #16 at the entrance to the slow zone caused by the Mustang accident. After a pit stop, it rejoined in 15th place in LMP2.
A full course yellow was deployed to remove debris scattered across the track. The intervention only lasted a few minutes.
The Mercedes #60 was idling in the Hunaudières just before the fourth hour of the race. At the same time, the Ferrari #83 got the better of the Porsche #6. The Italian cars found their rhythm just before nightfall.
