Broken series. After two victories by IDEC Sport in ELMS, the French team did not score a single point in Italy. In Imola, the two LMP2 cars had mixed fortunes: the #28 was involved in a four-car accident and had to retire. The other, the #18, went off the track and lost a lot of time.

At the same time, the VDS Panis Racing car had a perfect race and won the 4 Hours of Imola. Behind the wheel was a strong-performing Charles Milesi, who led his team to victory. With this success, the Frenchman reclaimed the lead of the championship by one point.

This result gave him confidence before getting back into his Alpine for the World Endurance Championship. On July 11, 12, and 13, the native of Haute-Marne will head to Interlagos for the 6 Hours of Sao Paulo.

« It was not easy at the end. But overall, we can be happy with what we did this weekend. We were able to win the race starting from seventh, it’s great. We had a great pace, but qualifying wasn’t great for us », the Frenchman summarized in a press conference.
