It's official: the FIA has announced that Kevin Magnussen will be suspended from the next F1 race, in Azerbaijan in two weeks' time, after receiving a further penalty during the Monza race. He has reached the authorized limit of penalty points.

While the driver's championship still looks set to go in Max Verstappen's favor, with 8 races remaining, the constructor's championship is still very much up for grabs. McLaren is within 8 points of the lead, while Ferrari has just 39 points. The end of the season promises to be exciting.

The Dutch Grand Prix produced some of the finest action since the start of the season on the 40th lap of the race, with five single-seaters - two Aston Martins, an Alpine, a Williams and a Haas. In the end, it was Pierre Gasly who took the lead.

McLaren has just announced the extension of Andrea Stella's contract as Formula 1 team principal. The Italian has led the Woking-based team in F1 since 2023 and the departure of Andreas Seidl to Sauber. He spent many years with Scuderia Ferrari, before moving to McLaren in 2015. He has re-signed for at least two seasons (until the end of 2026).
