Alguersuari: “Red Bull will not lose any performance”
Jaime Alguersuari, former Toro Rosso driver, believes that the modifications to the floor of the Red Bull cars following complaints from other teams should not handicap the Austrian team.

During the Monaco Grand Prix, small openings appeared on the rear of the Red Bull cars. These holes in the flat floor quickly sparked rumors of protests from other teams, who deemed this feature illegal.
The FIA has therefore decided to make a decision, and Red Bull was forced to modify this part of the design of its cars.
But according to Jaime Alguersuari, a former member of the Red Bull “house,” these constraints will not affect the good performance of the Austrian cars. This is what he states in his column for the BBC: « I don’t think Red Bull will lose much from the FIA’s decision to ban their holes in the flat floor. There is no information regarding the true impact of these holes on the car’s performance… It seems that this is not a crucial element. »
Still in his column, the Spanish driver discusses the upcoming Canadian Grand Prix: « I am sure it will be a very exciting weekend. There will likely be between two and three pit stops; definitely not just one. We will see the temperatures over the weekend, but I think Mercedes will be fast and the Lotus cars seem to be in good shape with their fantastic mechanical grip. »
