Nathanaël Berthon now affiliated with the Caterham F1 team
The Caterham F1 team has announced the launch of a new driver development program, with the first to join being the Frenchman Nathanaël Berthon.

With the recent change at the head of the Caterham F1 team, the restructuring of the team continues, this time focusing on the junior driver program.
The Caterham team has indeed announced the arrival of French driver Nathanaël Berthon in its new development program for drivers. This program aims to integrate drivers into the daily life on and off the track of Caterham F1 and help them reach Formula 1.
Berthon, a participant in the GP2 championship since 2012, was the first chosen for this new program. The Frenchman, who has already driven an F1 car in 2011 – the HRT -, was warmly welcomed by the new team principal of Caterham F1, Christijan Albers: “We are delighted to welcome Nathanaël to our team as the first driver of our development program. He is an exciting talent with proven on-track ability in the F1 support category [GP2], and having prior F1 experience means he fits very well into our team. We will work closely with him to help him reach his full potential, and we are excited to see him continue to progress as a driver, both in and out of the cockpit.”
