The Miami circuit was repaired during the night from Thursday to Friday
Defects were identified on the brand new Miami track. They were repaired this Friday morning.
While the racing weekend had not yet started, the asphalt of the circuit located in Florida required its first repairs. Enough to cause some cold sweats.
While no car, except for the safety car, the medical car, and some supercars for “hot laps,” had yet driven on this brand new circuit, problems have already been detected. Turns 7, 17, and 18 have raised concerns among the organizers after spotting damage on the asphalt surface laid 60 days before the race.

On these areas of the circuit, dark patches have appeared, which required the intervention of teams to repair these areas. The repairs, on the other hand, were completed Friday morning. Asphalt was redone at the spots where the issues were detected, and for the first free practice session, everything seems to be back to normal.
The remaining part of the circuit, measuring 5.4 kilometers, did not raise any concerns from the organizers of the fifth round of the 2022 World Championship.
