Verstappen does not see himself staying close to F1 after his retirement
Max Verstappen has already made plans for his life after Formula 1. The Dutchman does not see himself staying in this world after his retirement.

After a career in Formula 1, many drivers turn to a role as television analysts. We can think of Jolyon Palmer and David Coulthard in the UK, Narain Karthikeyan, or even Jacques Villeneuve who commentates on the Grand Prix with Julien Fébreau on Canal+.
On his part, Max Verstappen seems to already have a clear idea of his life after F1. At only 24 years old, the 2021 world champion still has many years ahead of him behind the wheel. His current contract with Red Bull goes until 2028 and it is highly unlikely that year will signify his retirement from the category.
Interviewed by the Dutch media Formule1.nl, “Super Max” explains that he doesn’t see himself staying in the world of Formula 1 after his retirement. « You won’t see me as an analyst or in a role within a team. Definitely not. I don’t have the motivation for that. If I’m not driving anymore, I want to do other fun things. »
Max Verstappen does not want to follow the path of many of his peers. However, the Dutchman leaves the door open to a similar journey as his father, Jos Verstappen, who participated in a rally at the age of 49 after many years away from motorsport.
The Dutchman had also recently stated that he was open to participating in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. So many activities that could occupy Max Verstappen after his retirement from Formula 1.
