The best tweets from the Japanese Grand Prix
Max Verstappen and Red Bull set the record straight this Sunday morning in Suzuka by dominating the race from start to finish. A victory and a Grand Prix that once again sparked reactions on social media. Here is a summary of the best tweets from the Japanese Grand Prix.

Brilliant in both qualifying and the race, Max Verstappen reminded everyone by claiming a third victory this season, a third consecutive one on Japanese soil. Behind him, Sergio Pérez secures a one-two for Red Bull while Carlos Sainz joins them on the podium, once again confirming his excellent form at the start of the season.

The only Japanese driver on the grid, Yuki Tsunoda was in familiar territory this weekend in Suzuka with a whole crowd supporting him. The Japanese driver once again delivered a superb performance by finishing 10th in both qualifying and the race, making him the first Japanese to score points at home since Kamui Kobayashi in 2012. Well done!

For some teams, the Grand Prix races follow one another and look alike. While Red Bull dominates at the top of the standings, Alpine, on the other hand, has been occupying the last places at the back of the grid since the beginning of the year. To the point that the F1 community, through this inspired internet user, dared to make an unflattering comparison between the French team’s financial plan and that of a young English talent who has only competed in one race…

Tough Grand Prix for Williams as well. The Grove team has not been able to have a flawless weekend since the start of the season, with Albon and Sargeant breaking the car in turn, especially in the last two races. With limited resources, one can well imagine that the mechanics of the Williams team must be a little desperate, as indicated by this short tweet.

To conclude this list of the best tweets, how can we not mention this magnificent helmet from Charles Leclerc paying tribute to his mentor, Jules Bianchi, whose unfortunate accident on this track is sadly commemorated this year, ten years later. If victory could not be his, Leclerc, starting in 8th place and climbing up to 4th, still brilliantly paid tribute to the Frenchman by being voted Driver of the Day.
A special helmet in memory of a very special person for me. ❤️
10 years this year since we have lost Jules here in Japan.
So many memories together that I’ll never ever forget.
I miss you and I’ll do everything to bring that helmet on the top step of the podium on Sunday. 🤍 pic.twitter.com/aT7QVbtedJ— Charles Leclerc (@Charles_Leclerc) April 4, 2024
