McLaren continues to strengthen its network of partners with a new strategic agreement signed with T-Mobile, thus expanding its commercial presence.

Currently leading the constructors’ championship, McLaren is also distinguished by its impressive portfolio of partnerships, surpassing all other Formula 1 teams in this regard.

Starting from the United States Grand Prix that will take place this weekend in Austin, T-Mobile becomes the official and exclusive 5G partner of McLaren in the American territory. This partnership will also extend to the races in Miami and Las Vegas.

Concretely, McLaren will benefit from the capabilities of T-Mobile’s 5G network to improve its connectivity during these events. The T-Mobile logo will be visible on the single-seaters of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, not only in Austin and Las Vegas this season, but also during future races.

Furthermore, the team’s communication equipment will display the T-Mobile logo, reinforcing their collaboration.

Matt Dennington, McLaren’s co-commercial director, showed enthusiasm following the announcement of this partnership: “We are delighted to welcome T-Mobile into the McLaren Racing family. As our fan base in the United States continues to grow, it is essential to work with partners who allow us to increase our presence and strengthen our commitment to the American audience.”

Omnipresent American partners.

McLaren is pursuing its strategy by multiplying partnership agreements, aiming to maximize their value while leveraging its on-track performance to attract new collaborations.

The number of partnerships with American companies continues to increase throughout F1 since the acquisition by Liberty Media in 2016. At the beginning of the season, 46.8% of all grid teams’ partners were American, more than double compared to before Liberty’s arrival.
