Key figures to remember before the U.S. Grand Prix
The U.S. Grand Prix is the first of three Formula 1 weekends. This 19th round of the 2024 championship marks the return of the sprint format. Motorsinside brings you all the key figures you need to know before the start of the Texas show.

1:36.169: The reference time achieved during the race on the Austin track. It belongs to Charles Leclerc during the 2019 edition. The same year, Valtteri Bottas had taken the best qualifying time (1:32.029).
3: The number of teams that will unveil a special livery for this race weekend. Alpine will sport orange in reference to Indiana Jones, <a href="/f1/actualite/34978-le-retour-chrome-mclaren-grand-prix-etats-unis.html" title="The return of chrome at McLaren for the United States Grand Prix.
"McLaren will highlight chrome, while Haas will showcase the colors of the United States during the US Grand Prix."
4: The United States Grand Prix is the fourth of the season to include a sprint race. It starts on Saturday at 8:00 pm (French time). Max Verstappen won the first three (China, Miami, and Austria).

5: Lewis Hamilton’s record number of victories in the Texan capital (2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017). The Briton saw Max Verstappen getting closer to him, as the Dutchman won the last three races. Vettel, Räikkönen, and Bottas are the other drivers who have succeeded there.
5,516: The number of kilometers to cover to complete a lap. Drivers will therefore have to cover 308.896 km to reach the finish line on Sunday after completing the 56 laps of the circuit.
10: The number of consecutive Grand Prix races in which at least one British driver has finished on the podium. We have to go back to the Monaco Grand Prix (Leclerc, Piastri, and Sainz) to find a podium without a British representative. Lando Norris has had seven since then, Lewis Hamilton four, and George Russell three.
11%: The percentage of elevation reached in the straight line leading to the first corner.

12: Lewis Hamilton and Sergio Perez will be participating in their twelfth United States Grand Prix since it has been held in Austin, not missing any edition. 2024 will be the first one without Daniel Ricciardo around COTA.
20: The number of corners that make up the Texan circuit. It is the second highest total on the 2024 calendar behind Jeddah (27) and equal to Baku.
100: By lining up at the starting line on Sunday, Alex Albon will reach the milestone of 100 career Grand Prix races. He currently has 12 races with Toro Rosso (2019), 26 with Red Bull (2019-2020), and 61 with Williams (2022-2024).
114: The number of races that separated Kimi Räikkönen’s victory at the 2013 Australian GP from the one he obtained on the COTA in 2018. A record that could be beaten by Fernando Alonso, searching for his 33rd victory in Grand Prix from 194 races (Spanish Grand Prix 2013).
