Mercedes broke a curfew on Thursday evening to work on one of its single-seaters. The team had not yet broken a curfew this season. No penalty given on this occasion.
Last night, members of the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One team, involved in the operation of the car, were on the premises of the circuit during the fourteen (14) hour period that began at 5:30 pm on October 31, which is eighteen (18) hours before the scheduled start time of the first session (P1) and ending four (4) hours before the scheduled time of this session, at 7:30 am on November 1. This was the first (1st) of the three (3) individual exceptions allowed for the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS team in the 2024 Formula 1 Championship season, and therefore no action will be taken. Note that last week, Red Bull and Mercedes also broke a curfew but during Parc Fermé. This is not the case here and the conditions are therefore different. Three authorizations are granted per season and team outside of the Parc Fermé period, compared to 2 during Parc Fermé.
