Why is Abbi Pulling no longer (temporarily) the F1 Academy champion?
The member of the Alpine Academy was crowned during the previous round in Qatar. But a last-minute change took away her crown. She will undoubtedly regain it in Abu Dhabi.

A rather surprising situation. While one of the two F1 Academy races was canceled in Qatar last week, British driver Abbi Pulling was crowned the champion. The Alpine academy member had a significant lead of 83 points over her competitor, Doriane Pin.
With only two races left to go, which means 52 points still to be distributed, everything was already settled. But everything changed when it was announced that a third race would finally take place this weekend in Abu Dhabi.

So, with 25 points per race and one point for best lap and two given for each pole position, we let you do the math but Dorian Pin would possilby be able, still, to save 84 points. Abbi Pulling is therefore no longer the champion of the category by one point.
If officially she is no longer crowned, unofficially the British is. Except for a huge catastrophe, she will reclaim what is rightfully hers very early in the weekend at Yas Marina.
Following the cancellation of Round 6’s Race 2 in Lusail on Sunday afternoon, F1 Academy have confirmed that a third race will be added to the schedule for the final round of the 2024 season in Yas Marina.
