Helmut Marko had suggested that the imminent decision from Red Bull regarding its second driver for the 2025 season would be made in the coming days. According to Julien Fébreau’s information, it is Liam Lawson who will replace Sergio Perez at Red Bull.

It is not yet official, but we should know very soon the outcome of this Red Bull saga. If the New Zealander is promoted to the A-team, Yuki Tsunoda would remain with Racing Bulls, after successful post-season tests in Abu Dhabi and progress praised by his team. A frustrating situation for someone whose only goal is to be a Red Bull driver.

The Frenchman, Isack Hadjar, second in the F2 championship, has demonstrated many qualities throughout the season, unfortunately, the title slipped away from him in favor of Gabriel Bortoleto, who will drive for Sauber. He was nevertheless hoping for a place with Racing Bulls.

Sergio Perez and Red Bull, is it over?

For several weeks, the future of Sergio Perez has been in the spotlight, his performances being well below those of his teammate, Max Verstappen.

A meeting of the Austrian team’s leaders took place, after the closing Grand Prix of the 2024 season in Abu Dhabi, to decide its future. No information had leaked, further heightening the anticipation about who will make up the Red Bull team in 2025, however, the list of participants in the 2025 F1 season was published on Friday by the FIA.

To be continued, then, one question remains unanswered: what future for Sergio Perez in Formula 1?
