Juan Manuel Correa official at DAMS for 2024 F2 season
After his return to F2 this year with Van Van Amersfoort Racing, Juan Manuel Correa will be a DAMS driver next season. He will be Jak Crawford's team-mate.
Juan Manuel Correa has managed to return to F2, at the cost of hard work. In 2019, the American-Ecuadorian driver experienced a terrible accident during the ill-fated Belgian Grand Prix, which took the life of Anthoine Hubert.
Correa suffered numerous fractures and only got back into a single-seater from the 2021 season in F3 with ART Grand Prix. He stepped onto a podium for his second season with the team. But only finished 13th in the championship. In parallel, the same year he won a race in the European Le Mans Series, during the 4h of Portimao, in the LMP2 category with the Prema team.
Correa returned to F2 this year with Van Amersfoort Racing (VAR), scoring 13 points and ranking 19th in the category. This season, Correa also participated in several WEC races, including the centenary of the 24h of Le Mans.
An arrival at DAMS
Juan Manuel Correa will compete in a second consecutive F2 season next year, joining the DAMS team. The team announced the news via a statement. He will be Jak Crawford’s teammate.
