First points of the season for the Iron Dames at the 6 Hours of Imola
After a lacklustre start to the season, the Iron Dames finished a fine eighth in the second round of the World Endurance Championship.

There is some improvement. Just a few days after an impressive victory in ELMS, the Iron Dames returned to the World Endurance Championship. In Imola, the girls of the Porsche #85 had to forget the poor performance of the opening round in Qatar.
It seemed off to a bad start after the qualifications. Célia Martin failed to place her GT3 in the top 10 and thus qualify for the hyperpole. The start of the race, despite a promising pace, was also difficult after the French driver was penalized for contact with Corvette #33.

Despite this mishap, the new bronze driver of the crew did not let herself get discouraged and continued to familiarize herself with this car and this discipline. Rahel Frey took over and continued the good work of Célia Martin.
The Swiss driver then Michelle Gatting took advantage of the various incidents on the track to continue climbing positions. The team was able to implement another strategy that proved successful. This allowed the female trio to enter the points zone.
An eighth place today, and our first points in WEC this season. It’s a good step in the right direction, highlighted Rahel Frey. We are satisfied with it. Although we have made great progress, we are still making too many mistakes. We need to find a way to avoid them. That’s our goal for Spa-Francorchamps. Congratulations to the sister car: Its victory highlights the potential of the 911 GT3 R.
