Scuderia Ferrari took the front row in Sochi. Sebastian Vettel took the 47th pole position of his career ahead of Kimi Räikkönen, who finished just a hair's breadth behind his team-mate. Mercedes drivers Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton will start from 3rd and 4th places respectively.

Felipe Massa and Lance Stroll had made a good start to their weekend in China. The two Williams drivers had qualified in 6th and 10th positions respectively. On Sunday, however, their hopes were dashed by the Brazilian's 14th place and the Canadian's withdrawal following a collision on the opening lap.

Scuderia Toro Rosso ended its season with a double retirement in Abu Dhabi. The Faenza-based team had got off to a good start to the year, but after the summer break the team hit a slump, reducing their chances of progressing up the order. Once again, the team had to settle for 7th place in the Constructors' Championship for the third time in succession.

Nico Rosberg finally had to wait until his 206th Grand Prix and the final 55 laps in Abu Dhabi before being crowned World Champion for the first time in his career. There's no doubt that this race - and in particular the last ten laps - will remain etched in his memory, especially when Lewis Hamilton decided to slow his pace so that the chasing pack could play a part in deciding the title.
Le 27/11, 23:05
Despite a lacklustre weekend in Yas Marina, Marcus Ericsson (fifteenth) and Felipe Nasr (sixteenth) managed to achieve the Sauber team's main objective. Tenth place in the constructors' championship is now official!
