How long will the races on the F1 calendar last?
There's a lot of speculation about the future of certain Grand Prix races on the Formula 1 calendar. When do the contracts for these races expire? Here's an overview of current contracts and their duration.

Mexican Grand Prix – Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez: 2025
The Mexican Grand Prix will remain on the calendar until the 2025 season. However, the absence of Mexican driver Sergio Perez in 2025 could affect the contract renewal. Director Alejandro Soberon remains optimistic about the future of the event.
Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix – Imola: 2025
The Imola circuit is under contract until 2025. After a cancellation in 2023 due to flooding, an extension could be considered. Imola could alternate with other European circuits like Spa.
Las Vegas Grand Prix: 2025
The long-awaited return to Las Vegas took place in 2023 with an initial three-year contract. There is talk of extending this agreement up to 10 years.
Azerbaijan Grand Prix – Baku: 2026
The Baku city circuit has extended its contract until the end of 2026 following an extension announced in 2023.
United States Grand Prix – Circuit of the Americas: 2026
The Austin event will continue at least until 2026. The success of F1 in the United States has been boosted by Netflix’s Drive to Survive series. It has become a highly anticipated fixture on the calendar.
Spanish Grand Prix – Barcelona: 2026
The contract with Barcelona, in force until 2026, will be transferred to Madrid from that date, on a new temporary circuit. The new circuit, 5.47 km long with 20 turns, will be laid out around the IFEMA exhibition center, five minutes from Madrid-Barajas Adolfo Suárez airport.
Dutch Grand Prix – Zandvoort: 2026
It was announced earlier this month that Zandvoort would host its last Dutch Grand Prix for Formula 1 in 2026, due to a lack of public financial support.
Singapore Grand Prix – Marina Bay: 2028
A new seven-year agreement guarantees a spot until 2028 for the Singapore Grand Prix.
Japanese Grand Prix – Suzuka: 2029
The contract has been extended until 2029, strengthening Suzuka’s position in the F1 calendar.
Grand Prix of São Paulo – Interlagos: 2030
F1 remains at Interlagos until 2030, despite abandoned plans for a new circuit in Rio, São Paulo will remain Brazil’s representative.
Austrian Grand Prix – Red Bull Ring: 2030
The Red Bull Ring will host F1 at least until 2030 thanks to a new agreement announced in 2023.
Abu Dhabi Grand Prix – Yas Marina: 2030
The Yas Marina Circuit will remain the host of the season finale until at least 2030.
Saudi Arabian Grand Prix: 2030
A 10-year contract outlines a transition (delayed since Covid) to a new complex in Qiddiya in the coming years. In the meantime, the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix will be held until 2030.
Chinese Grand Prix – Shanghai: 2030
A contract extension was signed in 2024, now ensuring Shanghai’s presence on the F1 calendar until 2030.
Canadian Grand Prix – Montreal: 2031
The contract for Montreal has been extended until 2031 to compensate for the years lost due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Miami Grand Prix: 2031
Introduced in 2022, the Miami Grand Prix is guaranteed until 2031.
Italian Grand Prix – Monza: 2031
Monza has secured an extension until 2031 thanks to significant investments in its infrastructure. After much speculation, an agreement was finally reached with Formula 1 to ensure a long-term future for one of the sport’s most historic Grand Prix events.
Monaco Grand Prix – Monte Carlo: 2031
The contract with Monaco, renewed in 2024, secures its presence until 2031. A contract extension worth over 172 million euros has been signed, thus ensuring the continuity of this legendary event in the championship.
Belgian Grand Prix – Spa-Francorchamps: 2031
Spa will host four additional editions until 2031, but not in 2028 or 2030, in a rotating calendar, alternating.
Grand Prix of Hungary – Hungaroring: 2032
The Hungaroring will remain on the calendar until 2032. The circuit is also undergoing numerous renovations on the track and around it.
Qatar Grand Prix – Losail: 2032
After its introduction in 2021, Losail is under contract until 2032, pending the opening of a new circuit.
British Grand Prix – Silverstone: 2034
Silverstone, a historic landmark of F1, remains on the calendar until 2034.
Bahrain Grand Prix: 2036
Bahrain holds the longest F1 contract, running until 2036.
Australian Grand Prix – Melbourne: 2037
A contract extended until 2037 makes Melbourne a constant in the calendar, with plans to host several season openers. Like in 2025, when the Australian circuit will return to open the championship.
