Lewis Hamilton is also satisfied with his car, although he experienced a problem today that prevented him from completing as many laps as he hoped. However, the 2008 world champion remains hopeful for the race as there should be many opportunities to overtake, which is one of his great strengths.

The Red Bull drivers were competitive today for the first day of testing at the Indian Grand Prix - even if they remained behind their competitors. For this first day of testing at the new Buddh International Circuit, the Sauber drivers encountered some difficulties with the tires. The hard tires do not work on the C30, while the soft ones have trouble reaching temperature and therefore providing enough grip. Kobayashi and Perez still hope to resolve these issues for the race on Sunday, although they expect a challenging weekend.

The first day of testing at the Indian GP was different for the two Toro Rosso drivers; while Sébastien Buemi managed to achieve great things during the day's two free practice sessions, it was not the case for Jaime Alguersuari. The Spanish driver damaged his car during the first practice session by hitting a barrier, and he was not comfortable with his STR6 throughout the day. He hopes to improve things by tomorrow by working on the car's setup with his engineers.

It is common for drivers to use their team's simulator, or another team's in the case of smaller teams, to prepare for a race, especially when the circuit is new as it is for the Indian Grand Prix this weekend. However, some drivers also use video games for preparation, which is exactly what Felipe Massa did to familiarize himself with the Buddh International Circuit.
