No one knows if Robert Kubica will be able to drive a Formula 1 car in a Grand Prix again. And while the Lotus Renault team was hoping for an update on the Pole's condition by the end of the month, Eric Boullier acknowledged that the Polish driver might have a bit more time to continue his recovery and prepare for a possible return in 2012.

After a very good first lap, Sebastian Vettel managed to take the lead of the South Korean Grand Prix and didn't let it go, securing another victory and thus celebrating his driver title won last week and the constructors' title won by Red Bull today. Mark Webber tried everything on his side to overtake Lewis Hamilton and offer a double win to Red Bull, but he couldn't find an opening against the McLaren driver.

Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button did not have an easy race today for McLaren's 700th in F1. Both McLaren drivers experienced significant understeer issues on their cars due to damaged front wings. Lewis Hamilton also had to cope with pressure from Mark Webber for a good part of the race, but the 2008 world champion brilliantly resisted the Australian driver's attacks. The entire Woking team now hopes to continue their momentum and fight for victory in the last three races of the season, in India, Abu Dhabi, and Brazil.

The LRGP team approached today's race with high hopes, especially to score new points and stay ahead of Force India in the Constructors' Championship. But things did not go as planned - Bruno Senna was unable to climb back into the points and Vitaly Petrov ended his race by colliding with Michael Schumacher when the Russian driver could have finished in the points.

The Virgin team always aims to beat the HRT drivers and get closer to the Team Lotus drivers. But today, for the second South Korean Grand Prix in the history of Formula 1, the British team did not completely achieve its goal. Timo Glock managed to get ahead of both HRT drivers, but Jérome d'Ambrosio was overtaken by Daniel Ricciardo's HRT, as the Belgian and his engineers had taken a wrong direction with the settings and found it difficult to really correct it for the race.

Partners for seven months already, Red Bull Racing and Infiniti have decided to extend their partnership for several years. The luxury car manufacturer, Infiniti, has greatly benefited from the victories and global exposure of the Red Bull team to increase its brand awareness. But from now on, the partnership is expected to go even further, with the establishment of a technical collaboration starting in 2012.

Rubens Barrichello is the driver who raced the most Grand Prix in Formula 1, and the Brazilian is almost part of the furniture - he started in F1 in 1993! The Brazilian has been alongside many drivers, and to keep a record of his career, he decided to collect his helmets as well as those of his rivals. However, one helmet was missing from his collection, that of Sebastian Vettel, but the German decided to complete the Brazilian's collection by giving him one of his helmets.

Many teams and drivers were concerned about the tire performance for Pirelli's first South Korean Grand Prix, but the Italian manufacturer, which selected the softest tires for this Grand Prix, expects to see degradation similar to recent races. There should be about three pit stops per driver tomorrow during the race according to Pirelli's estimates.

Bruno Senna did not manage to qualify for Q3 today in Korea and the Brazilian ended up quite far back; he will start tomorrow from the 15th position on the grid. He hoped to do better for his birthday, but he knows he has a good car - as evidenced by Vitaly Petrov's strong 8th place on the grid. The Russian driver hopes to maintain his position tomorrow or even do better to score significant points against the two Force India drivers who are right behind him.
Le 15/10, 08:37
Felipe Massa will start tomorrow from 5th place just ahead of Fernando Alonso, who is 6th and on the wrong side of the track. Both men are not completely satisfied with their performances even though they know it would have been difficult to do better today given the potential of the F150 compared to the McLaren or the Red Bull. But they hope to be able to climb up tomorrow during the race thanks to strategy and, hopefully, finish on the podium.
