A new takeover. Oscar Piastri, thanks to his victory, now has a ten-point lead over his teammate in the world championship and thus takes the lead in the F1 2025 standings. The Australian has 99 points compared to 89 for the Briton, Lando Norris.

With his fourth place in Saudi Arabia, the McLaren driver limited the damage, but Max Verstappen still represents a real threat. The Dutchman is only two points behind his rival for the championship.

Behind, Charles Leclerc, with his first podium of the season, slightly distanced a Kimi Antonelli who continues to improve in these early races of the season.

With the point from the tenth position, Isack Hadjar returned to level with Yuki Tsunoda, with five points. As a reminder, the Japanese driver retired after the first lap following a collision with Pierre Gasly.

In the constructors’ standings, McLaren has surged ahead of Mercedes with a 77-point lead. Zak Brown’s team already has a significant margin and is making a strong bid for the title. Unless Ferrari and Mercedes find solutions to bring a bit more competition.
